Dear WCR members,
I am
so honored to
be the 2006 President
of the Southern Alameda
County Chapter of
WCR. It is so exciting
to be part of such
a great organization
that helps our members
develop their business
shills and attain
their individual
goals. WCR is now
the 12 th largest
Women's Organization
in the country-our
national and state
leaders are charging
forward to continue
our growth and building
on the solid foundation
that has already
been laid by former
dynamic leaders.
Our chapter also
will continue to
increase its membership
and bring to our
members new levels
of success and achievement.
The 2006 Governing
Board as well as
the Standing and
Special Committees
will focus on our
members to bring
them the best programs
that are relevant
to business development
and personnel success.
We want to encourage
our members to develop
their leadership
qualities not only
in WCR but in other
areas of their lives.
This
coming year I
am very excited
about the programs
that Emily Bowers,
our President-Elect,
has been very busy
putting together
for us. She has secured
a great line-up of
speakers including
one that I think
you will not want
to miss-A Diversity
Panel. Our programs
just keep getting
better each year.
If you have an idea
for a speaker or
have heard someone
that you think would
benefit our membership,
please give Emily
a call or email her
with the information.
We have
a new mentoring
program that Penny
Christensen, our
VP of Membership,
is chairing. It will
put our new members
on a fast track to
learning about WCR,
introducing them
to committees, and
helping them develop
leadership skills.
Penny will be looking
for members to act
as mentors-what a
great opportunity
to share your expertise
and knowledge. We
are continuing our "Task
Is To Ask" program
with Marjie Kosic
at the helm. She
will be assisting
Penny with integrating
our new members into
WCR and assist them
in finding the best
fit for their talents.
Karla Brown, our
Education Reimbursement
and Referral Network
chair, will help
you with obtaining
reimbursement for
classes and keep
track of our referrals
for members seeking
to obtain their PMN
certificate and for
evaluating the effectiveness
of our referral networking.
Education for members
is a prime directive
for our chapter so
sign up for classes
and be reimbursed.
This
is just an introduction
to what we have
planned for this
year so just
stay tuned for
more to come-We are "BUILDING
AN "A" TEAM WITH
WCR". I am so pleased
with the Leadership
Team that we have
this year. They are
all dedicated, talented
individuals that
want to serve YOU,
our membership. Let
us know your ideas
and your needs so
we can assist you
in your quest for
developing your business
skills and fulfilling
your goals.
Sincerely,
Mary Anne Rozsa,
President
Southern Alameda
County Chapter of
WCR |
